QUOTATION
 
1.1 Remove existing patio slabbing and excavate foundation trench to min 1.00 mtr depth x 600 mm width, remove spoil from site and trench fill to required height with min 21 newton ready-mixed concrete

1.2 Construct footing brick and block-work (semi engineering bricks and dense concrete block) up to
existing DPC height with 100 mm mortar filled cavity (cavity fill up to 50 mm below DPC). Footing
brick-work to show a band of engineering brick to match existing, above ground

1.3 Lay 75 mm sand & cement screed, over 150 mm 21 newton concrete floor slab, over 80 mm polystyrene floor insulation, over 300MJ DPM, over 100 mm sand blinded consolidated hardcore

1.4 Supply and lay DPC and construct cavity block-work 2.0 x 9.4 mtrs up to roof joist height with 100 mm insulated cavity tied per two courses with 225 mm safety wall ties and insulation retaining clips closing
cavities where necessary. Wall construction to allow for two window apertures and one doorway to match
existing UVPC windows and patio doors

1.5 Provide and fix temporary polythene screens to prevent dust migration into main house area and
carefully take down internal wall sections as necessary

1.6 Construct new flat roof over newly constructed extended structure as per drawing number ‘RP 01224 -1’
with maximum falls to front edge, lay built up felt roof system, using 3 G felt base layer partially bonded
(to BS 707), over 12 mm WBP plywood sheet (cold roof construction) over 175 x 50 mm joists. Roof
structure to incorporate roof lantern as specified, venting to all areas necessary and ‘Rock-wool’ insulation to all
existing roof voids. Felt roof system to have a materials guarantee period of 10 years in addition to a 5
year labour/workmanship guarantee

1.7 Supply and fix UPVC windows and patio doors in apertures constructed in new block-work. Supply and fix
2 no. pre primed MDF window boards

1.8 Apply browning basecoat plaster to all newly constructed blockwrk with 3 mm gypsum skim finish. Apply
3 mm skim coat to all new ceiling plasterboards. Plaster finish to be applied taking great care to run in new plaster to adjacent wall finishes and door linings

1.9 Supply and fix new 65 mm round black down-pipe to existing guttering and redirect to discharge into
existing gully

1.10 Apply two coats matt emulsion to all newly plastered surfaces. Apply 1 no. oil based primer coat, 1 no. oil based undercoat and 1 no. oil based top coat (white) to new window boards

Considerations:
o   Attendant services required: Mains water supply and 240v mains electrical supply
o   All builder’s waste to be removed - site to be left clean & tidy
o   Materials/ tools to be stored on site: General building materials and some hand tools

o   Work to be undertaken with minimum levels of noise and disruption taking care to respect the local environment
o   Skips: To be located on hard standing as discussed
o   Start date: To be agreed
o   Contract duration: 5 weeks
o   Site to be a no smoking area by contractor operatives
o   Listed buildings and Conservation Areas: Relevant permissions required by client before commencement
     of work
